Beautiful Minds Therapy Support was founded to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people, and adults. We understand the unique challenges faced by people living with disability – especially in rural and regional areas – and are committed to providing high-quality, individualised care.
We believe no person should be left behind. That’s why we tailor our services to each individual, walking alongside families and carers to create lasting, positive outcomes. We understand the challenges faced by families in rural and remote areas, and are dedicated to providing high-quality care tailored to the specific needs of each individual and their family, whilst breaking down those barriers to accessing support. With expertise and passion, we aim to make a meaningful difference and build a brighter future for those in need.
Our purpose is to provide exceptional care and support to people facing developmental challenges, built on more than 20 years of professional experience in the sector. By focusing on early intervention, we strive to lay a strong foundation for a brighter, healthier future. We believe that every person deserves the chance to thrive, regardless of their circumstances — and we are here to ensure they can, with compassion, expertise, and integrity.
Beautiful Minds Therapy Support’s vision is to support a resilient and empowered community in partnership with people of all abilities to live their best lives the way they want.
Our values underpin everything that we do at Beautiful Minds: simplicity, dignity, trust, integrity, sustainability, innovation, transparency, and collaboration.
Beautiful Minds Therapy Support was founded by Erin Henry, who brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the disability and allied health sector. Her career has been built on a genuine passion for supporting people of all ages to live with dignity, independence, and joy.
When Erin created Beautiful Minds, it was never about following a trend or capitalising on a growing industry. Instead, it was about building a service participants and families could truly trust — one where every team member is selected not only for their qualifications but also for their compassion and commitment.
This foundation means that when you work with Beautiful Minds, you’re supported by an experienced and passionate team of specialists who take the time to understand your goals, listen to your story, and walk alongside you on your journey.
Background & Experience
Erin Henry is a Specialist Behaviour Practitioner and Counsellor with almost 20 years of experience in the disability, allied health, and community services sectors. Her professional journey reflects deep expertise across behaviour support, counselling, and trauma-informed practice — underpinned by a strong commitment to improving quality of life for people with complex needs.
Erin holds tertiary qualifications in Counselling and Behavioural Science and maintains relevant professional memberships and accreditations that support her clinical and ethical practice. Before founding Beautiful Minds Therapy Support, she held diverse roles across government and non-government organisations, including extensive work within Child Safety and family intervention services.
Through this work, Erin developed a particular specialisation in supporting children and young people with complex trauma histories and co-occurring disabilities. Her approach blends evidence-based behavioural strategies with empathy and clinical insight — helping participants and their families navigate challenging experiences and build long-term stability, resilience, and connection.
Her clinical strengths lie in positive behaviour support, trauma-informed care, developmental and family systems work, and creating meaningful, practical interventions that empower participants to reach their potential.
Role at Beautiful Minds Therapy Support
As Managing Director and Specialist Behaviour Clinician, Erin oversees both the clinical and operational direction of Beautiful Minds Therapy Support. Her day-to-day role balances leadership with hands-on practice — supporting participants, mentoring her team, and ensuring the organisation’s values of dignity, trust, and collaboration are reflected in every interaction.
Erin works closely with families and participants to design individualised, evidence-based behaviour support plans that are functional, respectful, and grounded in each person’s unique story. She is passionate about cultivating a supportive team culture through reflective supervision, professional growth opportunities, and open communication.
What Erin enjoys most about being hands-on in the service is witnessing transformation — seeing participants grow in confidence, families feel empowered, and clinicians thrive in their practice. As Beautiful Minds continues to expand, Erin sees her role evolving toward strategic service development, clinical leadership, and workforce mentoring, ensuring the organisation maintains its commitment to quality, integrity, and person-centred care.
Why She Started Beautiful Minds
Erin founded Beautiful Minds Therapy Support with a clear purpose: to create a therapeutic service that genuinely sees and supports the person behind the plan. After nearly two decades in the sector, she recognised a critical gap — the need for a service that combines clinical excellence with compassion, and professional rigour with human connection.
Her personal and professional experiences, particularly supporting children and families affected by trauma and disability, inspired her to design a service built on understanding, safety, and hope.
Beautiful Minds stands apart from “just another NDIS provider” by prioritising relationships over referrals — ensuring that every participant feels heard, respected, and meaningfully supported on their journey.
Passion & Purpose
Erin’s passion lies in helping individuals and families find calm, connection, and confidence after experiences of trauma, stress, or behavioural challenges. She believes that behaviour support is most powerful when it comes from understanding the ‘why’ behind the behaviour, not simply managing it.
After almost 20 years in the field, what keeps Erin motivated is seeing the real change her work brings — a young person who finally feels safe at school, a family who regains hope, or a team member who grows into a confident clinician. These moments of transformation remind her daily of the profound impact that compassionate, skilled support can have.
Values & Leadership
The foundation of Beautiful Minds — dignity, trust, and collaboration — is lived out through Erin’s leadership. She leads with authenticity and empathy, creating a workplace where every team member feels valued, supported, and part of a shared purpose.
Erin seeks team members who are kind, reflective, and passionate about people — those who bring both professional skill and genuine care to their work. She invests in supervision, training, and growth opportunities to help staff flourish both personally and professionally, building a culture of learning, respect, and accountability.
Her leadership is grounded in transparency, emotional intelligence, and a belief that strong teams create strong outcomes for the people they support.
Vision & Future
Erin’s vision for Beautiful Minds Therapy Support over the next decade is to be recognised as a leader in trauma-informed behaviour support and therapeutic services across Queensland, while preserving the warmth and personal touch that define the organisation.
She hopes participants and families describe their experience as empowering, compassionate, and transformative — where they feel truly understood, supported, and valued.
Ultimately, Erin’s legacy is to leave behind a service that changes the way behaviour support is delivered — one that upholds dignity, inspires growth, and creates lasting impact for individuals, families, and communities.
